There are many words in English which are similar to German. This words are written in the same way but the spelling and the meaning are different. For instance the word ''STARK''. I'm sure that most of the people have seen this word in Iron Man. But most of the people do not know its meaning. The meaning of this word is bare, grim, harsh. This word also exist in German. The meaning of stark referes to be strong. There are some words which meanings are interesting if we compare them. Bad means in English evil or harmful but in German the meaning of this word is bath.
So are all the words so different in those languages? As there are words which are written same but the meaning is different, there are also words which are the same in meaning and writing. For instance ''ALARM''. The only difference is in German we put an artical (der, die, das) in front of this word, der Alarm. Album, Arm, Partner, Pause... etc.
